How it works

Pizza for everyone, wine just for two

This is how a dinner gets split: everyone pays for what they had, with the tip shared out.

  1. The “Review what we read” screen: three items from the receipt with their prices and a 10% tip.

    Scan the receipt with AI

We read it for you: items, prices and tip. You review it before adding. Or add each item yourself.

  2. A dinner in Divall: you’re owed $52.80, with the red Close account button; pizza for everyone, wine for Ana and Luis and 3 beers for Carlos, each with who paid for it, plus the Scan and Tip 10% buttons.

    Mark who had what

Each item with who had it (one person, a few or everyone) and who paid for it. Add each person by name and invite them with a QR code, a link or their @username.

  3. Pending balances for the dinner: Ana owes you $52.80, and Ana, Carlos and Diana owe Luis, each with its “Paid” button.

    Everyone knows what to pay

“Close account” shows who pays whom, so you can share it before closing. When someone pays you, you confirm it with “Paid”, and the bell in the app shows what’s still pending.

For every occasion

An account for everything you share

Each one knows how to split its own: by item, by day, by month or by list. Food and drinks, Nights out, Gifts and Events are free; Vacation and Family come with Divall Pro.

  • Food and drinks

Breakfasts, lunches, dinners and coffees: each receipt with its items (long ones, in several photos), who had what and who paid, groups like “Wine people”, the tip and who’s treating.

  • Nights out

A night out, the bar or a party: several costs paid by different people, and groups like “drink alcohol” that only pay their own.

  • Vacation Pro

By day: who was there when, kids who pay half, families who pay together, costs in another currency and the trip’s groceries.

  • Family and roommates Pro

The household month: rent and bills that add themselves, groceries, a budget and closing the month. And up to 5 years of history, with past months and a download as Excel or PDF.

  • Gifts

The list of what to buy, who buys it and how much each person chips in.

  • Events

The barbecue or family get-together: who brings what and how the accounts end up.

DivMe

Your month, no spreadsheets

Log an expense in two taps and see what's left. What you owe and are owed in shared bills is already there.

  • Left to spend. Income, spending and what's left, in your currency.
  • Small spending. The little purchases that repeat, and what they add up to in a year.
  • Accounts. Your cash, accounts and wallets with what you have left, and your cards with what you owe. You set the balance.
  • Owed to me & I owe. What you lent someone and what you borrowed, with each repayment. Free for up to 3 open.
  • Fixed expenses. Rent, bills and installments with their dates; a red number flags the ones coming due.
  • Savings and budgets. Set money aside for your goals and put a cap on each category.
  • Groceries and shopping lists. Write down what’s needed or take a photo of your list, with the store link if you like, and when you shop enter one amount for everything together.
  • Projection. At this pace, or with the daily maximum you set, how will you end the month?
  • Bank statement. Upload your bank or card statement as PDF, Excel or CSV and review your purchases before adding them; we read the PDF with AI.

Bring your history from Excel, a PDF or a photo

Did you keep track of your home or trip expenses in Excel, a PDF, a CSV or a text file? Upload it to Divall web and Claude Haiku understands it: your own goes to DivMe, and each household or trip becomes its own account, with its months and who paid whom.

Import transactions in Divall web, Your history with AI tab: drag in an Excel, PDF, CSV or text file of up to 5,000 rows, or take a photo of a list; Haiku reads the file, you review what it found and confirm.
  1. Upload it. An Excel file with several sheets, a PDF of up to 40 pages, a CSV or a text file, up to 5,000 rows. Or a photo of a list.
  2. Review. You see what it found: your transactions, the households and trips, and who was in them. Nothing is created until you confirm.
  3. Done. Each household gets its months, up to 5 years back, and you can download it again as Excel or PDF whenever you want.

Each file uses 20 of your 300 readings a month. Claude Haiku (Anthropic) reads it only to understand it; Divall doesn’t keep the file.

FAQ

What people ask us most

When can I download Divall?

Coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. The web version is already open at app.divall.app and works with Divall Pro, which you pay for in the phone app.

Does everyone need the app?

No. Add anyone by name and share what they owe. If you want, invite them with a QR code, a link for any chat or their @username: when they join, they keep what was already assigned to them, see the account on their phone and get their share in DivMe.

How does splitting “by what each person had” work?

Each cost or item belongs to whoever had it, to a group or to everyone. The tip is split in proportion to what each person had, and Divall simplifies the debts so there are fewer payments.

How is it different from Splitwise?

Divall splits by what each person had, with the tip shared fairly; it has an account for each occasion (food, nights out, trips, home, gifts and events), reads the receipt with AI, and your share goes straight to your month in DivMe, with no ads. The full comparison, with sources, is in Divall vs. Splitwise.

I kept my expenses in Excel. Can I bring them into Divall?

Yes, with Divall Pro and from the web. In Import and export, “Your history with AI” reads an Excel file with several sheets, a PDF of up to 40 pages, a CSV, a text file or a photo of a list. You review what it found before anything is created: your own goes to DivMe and each household or trip becomes its own account. Each file uses 20 of your 300 readings a month.

Does Divall have a widget?

Yes, for everyone, on iPhone with iOS 17 or later and on Android. The square one has three tabs (add to DivMe, start or open a Divall account, and your open accounts) and the wide one has two. It shows no amounts: only each account’s name.

Who sees my DivMe?

Only you. In shared accounts, each person sees what's in that account and nothing from your personal month.

If I pay the whole bill and friends pay me back, does it count as income?

No. In DivMe only your share counts as spending; what others owe you shows under “You are owed”, and when they pay, “They paid me” records it as a transfer that closes the debt, not as income. So what people pay you back doesn’t inflate your income.

Which languages and currencies does it work in?

In 9 languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Russian, Chinese and Japanese) and with any country’s currency: you pick it when you sign up and can change it in your profile or in each account. A trip can be kept in the destination’s currency, with costs in another currency at their exchange rate. In DivMe each currency keeps its own month, without mixing, and you set the exchange rate yourself. In Europe, Divall Pro is shown in euros.

Can I cancel Divall Pro anytime?

Yes. It renews monthly or yearly until you cancel it in your phone's store (App Store or Google Play), and everything you've logged stays visible.
