From the app

  1. Open Divall on your phone or on the web and sign in with your email.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Tap Delete my account.
  4. Read the notice and tap Delete forever.

It's deleted instantly and can't be undone. You need an internet connection: if something fails, nothing is deleted and you can try again.

If you no longer have the app

Write to us at hello@inads.ai from the email you use to sign in to Divall, with the subject “Delete my account”. We'll ask you to confirm from that same email to make sure it's you, and we delete it in less than 48 hours. We delete the same things that are deleted from the app, except what's on your phone: that's deleted when you uninstall Divall.

Before you delete it

  • If you have Divall Pro, cancel it in your store too (the App Store or Google Play). Deleting your account doesn't cancel that subscription.
  • DivMe and your closed accounts are deleted with the account, on your phone and, if you have Divall Pro, also the copy of DivMe on our server. If you want to keep them, first make a backup in Profile → Encrypted backup, or export your month.
  • If you're the admin of shared accounts, each one goes to the member who's been in it the longest.

What's deleted

From our server

  • Your profile (name and @username), your email, your plan and your open sessions.
  • Your place in shared accounts, your invitations, your requests to hand over or claim an account, your registered devices and pending notices.
  • The log of your photo readings in DivMe, the count of reports sent by email and your gift code attempts.
  • The reopening copies of the closed accounts you were the admin of.
  • Shared accounts with no one else left in them are deleted entirely.
  • Your DivMe stored on the server, if you had Divall Pro.

From your phone

  • Your accounts, the history of closed accounts, DivMe, your profile, your photo and anything waiting to be sent. Only the language, currency and appearance you chose remain.

What's kept and why

Your name in shared accounts
You still appear by name, without access, along with the expenses and payments you logged, so other people's balances don't change. It stays while that account is open; once it's closed, it's deleted from the server within 48 hours at most.
Other people's copies
If an account's admin has Divall Pro, the reopening copy may include your name. It's deleted 30 days after that account's first closing. What each member has on their phone stays on their phone.
Technical logs without content
The photo readings you made in shared accounts (date and cost, without the image or text) and the action log, with an internal identifier that no longer leads to you or your email. They're deleted at most 30 days after you delete your account.
Gift codes
If you redeemed one, the code stays marked as used, but without your name.
Payment records
The App Store and Google Play keep the payment records the law requires of them, under their own policies.
Server logs
Our database service (Supabase) keeps connection data, like the IP address and time, for 30 days at most.

Delete some data without deleting the account

  • A DivMe transaction: open it and tap Delete.
  • An expense in a shared account: the same. It's no longer visible to anyone and leaves the server completely when the account is closed.
  • A shared account you're the admin of: close it with Close account and it's deleted from the server within 48 hours at most.
  • Everything on a phone: when you sign in with another account on that phone, the previous one's data is deleted.
  • Not be found: turn off Let people find me by @username in Profile.
  • Any other data: write to us at hello@inads.ai and tell us which.
