Terms of use
These are the rules for using Divall: the app for iPhone and Android, its web version and this site. By creating your account or using Divall, you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use Divall.
These terms are also available in Spanish: Términos de uso. If there's any difference between the two, the English version prevails.
1. Who we are
Divall by IN-ADS Corp. is a brand of IN-ADS Corp., located at 888 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132, United States. You can write to us at hello@inads.ai.
2. What Divall is
Divall helps you split expenses with other people (Dinner, Party, Vacation, Family, Gifts and Events) and keep track of your personal month in DivMe.
- Divall doesn't move money. It doesn't collect or pay debts between people: when you mark that someone paid, it's just a note. What each person pays and how they pay it is settled among you.
- The calculations are a help. Divall splits based on what you log. Check the numbers before paying or collecting.
- It's not financial advice. DivMe's reports, projections and alerts are there to help you understand your numbers, not a recommendation.
- It works offline. What you log without a signal is sent when the connection comes back.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your email and a 6-digit code we send you each time. Protect access to your email: whoever has it can get into your account.
- An account belongs to one person only. Your email can't be changed from the app.
- Your @username has 3 to 20 letters, numbers or underscores. Some names are reserved (like admin, soporte or divall) and you can't use one that makes people think you're someone else or that you speak for Divall.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Divall.
4. Shared accounts
- Who's the admin: whoever creates the account is its admin and the one who pays for it if it needs Divall Pro. They can invite others, hand it over to another member and close it.
- What you log is seen by all its members. You're responsible for what you write, including the names of people you add without the app. Only add what those people would agree to share.
- Once it's closed it can no longer be edited and it's deleted from our server within 48 hours at most. Each member keeps their copy on their phone. With Divall Pro, the admin can reopen it for a month, 48 hours at a time.
- Family months: with Divall Pro, a Family's closed months are kept on our server for up to 5 years, so it can be used as a history, and then deleted. The admin's plan is what counts: without Divall Pro, or if they leave it, they're deleted from the server 48 hours after closing; the copy on the phone isn't deleted. The history can be downloaded as a PDF or Excel file at any time, with or without Divall Pro, and uploaded again later with Divall Pro.
- If the admin deletes their account, the account goes to the member who's been in it the longest. If no one is left, it's deleted.
- If the admin stops paying for Divall Pro, the accounts that need it become read-only: everyone can still see them, but they can't be edited until the admin goes back to Pro or hands the account over to someone who has it.
5. Plans and payments
Free
In DivMe, logging income and spending for the current month. In Divall, creating up to 2 Dinner, Party or Gifts accounts a month and joining up to 4 accounts from others a month, of any type. No receipt reading or reopening accounts.
Divall Pro
- All of Divall and DivMe, the web version and up to 300 receipt readings a month, across DivMe and all your accounts.
- It's paid monthly or yearly and renews automatically until you cancel it. Current prices are in the app and on divall.app; your phone's store shows the price for your country.
- Free trial: 7 days, once per person, the first time you pay. If you cancel before it ends, you won't be charged.
- Divall Pro is paid only in the phone app: the App Store or Google Play charges you, and you cancel it in your store's subscription settings. There are no charges on the web.
- With the same account, your Divall Pro also works on the web.
- When you cancel, the subscription doesn't renew: you won't be charged again and you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
- There are no refunds. Cancelling stops the renewal, but doesn't give back what was already paid. A refund request is decided by the store (the App Store or Google Play) under its own rules.
- Prices: we don't raise them. We may run promotions that lower them for a while; when they end, the regular price returns.
- If you stop paying, what you've already logged stays visible: a plan limit only stops you from creating more or looking further back, it never deletes what's yours.
Gift codes
A gift code gives Divall Pro for a period of time. It works only once, each person can redeem one, it doesn't replace a current paid plan and it may expire if not redeemed in time.
6. Receipt and history reading (Divall Pro)
- Photos and PDFs are read automatically by an artificial intelligence model and it can make mistakes. Check what was read: nothing is added without your confirmation.
- Each page counts as one reading from your allowance. A PDF can have up to 10 pages and 10 MB.
- On the web, loading your history from a file (Excel, CSV, text, or a PDF of up to 40 pages and 10 MB) uses 20 readings of your allowance per file; if it can't be read, they're returned.
- To prevent abuse, there's a maximum number of readings every 10 minutes and per day, and if in one day you send several images that aren't the expected document, reading is paused for 24 hours.
- Only send receipts, utility bills, statements, expense lists or spending histories you have the right to use. Don't send ID documents. A history may include other people's names and payments: only upload it if you can share them.
- How we handle those images is in the privacy policy.
7. What's not allowed
- Using Divall for anything illegal, to deceive others or to charge what isn't owed.
- Trying to get into other people's accounts or data, or getting around the plan limits.
- Sending things that aren't receipts to receipt reading (books, letters, screenshots) or written instructions meant to manipulate it.
- Using automated programs, copying Divall or overloading its servers.
- Impersonating another person or Divall.
If someone breaks these rules, we can limit, suspend or close their account, even without prior notice. If you think it was a mistake, write to us.
8. Your data and your backups
- What you log is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so Divall works, as the privacy policy explains.
- On the Free plan, DivMe lives on your phone: if you lose it, uninstall the app or sign in with another account on it, DivMe can only be recovered from a backup. With Divall Pro, it's also stored on our server and comes back when you sign in on another device, while you have Pro; if you leave Pro, the server copy is deleted and it stays only on your phone. Either way, make a backup in Profile → Encrypted backup and keep it wherever you want. If you forget its password, no one can open it, not even Divall.
- Closed accounts are deleted from the server after 48 hours (Family months with Divall Pro, up to 5 years): your copy stays on your phone.
- We do our best to keep the server available, but we don't guarantee it will always work or work without interruptions.
9. Intellectual property
The Divall by IN-ADS Corp. brand, its logo, its design and its code belong to IN-ADS Corp. You can use the app for yourself, but you can't copy it, sell it or make derivative works. The M PLUS 1 font is used under its free license (SIL Open Font License).
10. Liability
Divall is provided as is, without guarantees that it's accurate or that it will always work. We're not responsible for agreements or debts between the people in an account, or for decisions made based on the calculations, the reports or receipt reading.
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. The most we're liable for is what you paid for Divall in the 12 months before the event that gives rise to the claim, or US$100 if you use the Free plan.
11. Ending
If you want to leave the service, cancel your subscription: it ends and no other step is needed. You can also delete your account whenever you want from Profile → Delete my account. We explain what's deleted in Delete your account. If you have Divall Pro, cancel it in your store too: deleting your account doesn't cancel that subscription.
12. Changes and governing law
If we change these terms, we post the new version here with its date and let you know by email or in the app. It takes effect on the next business day after it's posted, and if you keep using Divall after that, you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and any claim is brought before a competent court in the city of Miami.
