Tricount alternative

A Tricount alternative to split costs and run your month

If you use Tricount for trips and costs with friends, Divall does the same and adds what Tricount doesn’t: the bill split item by item, the tip shared by what each person had, and your personal budget with your share already in it.

Vacation account “Cartagena” from Dec 18 to Dec 23 with 4 people: what you’re owed, the trip budget and groceries, and the costs: an island tour paid in euros and a dinner on the beach.

In short

  • Tricount, by bunq, is free and, by its own account, has no limits or ads. Since it dropped Premium it has no personal mode, so it doesn’t run your budget.
  • What Divall adds: splitting the bill item by item, reading it from a photo, sharing the tip by what each person had, and running your month in DivMe.
  • Free in Divall: Food and drinks, Nights out, Events and Gifts (20 accounts every 30 days, 2 open at a time), 10 AI receipt readings every 30 days and DivMe. Vacation and Family are Divall Pro.
  • Divall is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play; Tricount is available now.

Why switch from Tricount to Divall

  • Your month, back in the same app. Tricount dropped its personal mode along with Premium, so your budget has to live in another app. In Divall, DivMe tracks your income, spending, fixed costs, cards and savings, and your share of every account lands there on its own. Meet DivMe.
  • The bill, item by item. At a dinner each item belongs to whoever had it, to a group or to everyone, and the tip is shared in proportion. With a photo of the receipt, AI reads the items and you review them before adding.
  • Trips with more rules. In Vacation costs go by day, kids can pay half, a family can pay together and some costs can be in another currency.
  • The household, with a month-end close. In Family and roommates rent and bills add themselves, with a budget and a month-end close.

How to switch from Tricount to Divall

  1. Settle what’s open. Have everyone pay what they owe in Tricount, or write down today’s balances and settle them separately.
  2. Keep your history. Tricount no longer exports from the app: you request the file from its support by email. If you want it, ask before you leave.
  3. Create the account for the occasion. Food and drinks, Nights out, Events and Gifts are free; Vacation and Family and roommates are Divall Pro.
  4. Add the people. By name, no app needed; anyone who wants to see it on their phone can join with a QR code or a link.

When Tricount may suit you better

  • If you need an app today: Divall is coming soon to the stores.
  • If you only split now and then and never want to pay: Tricount is free, with no subscription and no expense limit.
  • If you bank with bunq: Tricount adds payments from your bunq card or account as expenses.

Frequently asked questions

If I switch to Divall, do my friends have to switch too?

No. Add them by name and share what they owe. If they want to see the account on their phone, invite them with a QR code, a link or their @username.

Can I move my tricounts to Divall?

There’s no direct connection with Tricount. The simplest way is to settle up and start new accounts in Divall. With Divall Pro, on the web you can upload your history from an Excel or CSV file: AI reads it and you review what it found before confirming.

How much does Divall cost?

There’s a Free plan that never expires. Divall Pro costs US$4.99 a month or US$49.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial, and it’s paid only in the app, through the App Store or Google Play.

Can I download Divall yet?

Divall is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. The web version is already open at app.divall.app and works with Divall Pro.
